Through temporary, needs-based shutdown of wind turbines, it is possible to limit the interference occurring on the Federal Armed Forces’ air traffic control radar as a result of the turning rotors of the wind turbines such that air pollution control permits can be issued with conditions. The system thus allows for the use of all sites which are suitable for wind farms.
