Messe Husum appointed head of wind division – Arne Petersen to support Messe Husum in organising HUSUM WIND 2023
HUSUM | 23 March 2023 Messe Husum & Congress (MHC) is strengthening its wind division with immediate effect with Arne Petersen, former Managing Director of Messe Husum and freelance consultant. Petersen is now joining the trade fair in a supporting capacity to further develop the most important trade fair of the trade fair location, HUSUM WIND, as a themed trade fair for renewable energies and to lead it to success under interim head Michael Lohmann in September.
“I am looking forward to taking the sector and thus the trade fair strategically forward,” said Petersen this morning in Husum. “HUSUM WIND 2023 is already almost fully booked, the industry is on the move. And renewables, especially wind, are also at the top of the agenda in terms of federal policy in this trade fair year. These are the best conditions for a successful trade fair.”
Petersen was managing director of Messe Husum & Congress GmbH & Co. KG. Since Monday, Michael Lohmann, head of the North Frisia office of the Flensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has been leading the trade fair company on a provisional basis after predecessor Klaus Liermann left the fair. “Arne Petersen knows HUSUM WIND and is well connected up here,” says Lohmann.
Hans Frontschek, long-time sales manager for the fair, adds: “We have already worked together in a spirit of trust over the past two years and can get straight to work together with the fair team.”
Federal Minister Robert Habeck will open HUSUM WIND on 12 September, where around 600 exhibitors from the fields of onshore and offshore, storage, green hydrogen and digitali- sation will present the latest technology in the industry.
