On- and Offshore

Wind power is the most significant source of renewable energy in Germany and already covers roughly 25 percent of the total electricity demand. This makes Germany the European leader in this segment, with further investment planned on a massive scale. HUSUM WIND is the meeting place for national and international experts from all parts of the value creation chain, ranging from project development and planning to financing and insurance, production, plant and equipment transport and installation with special purpose vessels, to grid connection and the operation and servicing of offshore wind farms. The objective of the gathering is an exchange among the individual protagonists and the presentation of new technologies, solutions, and technological innovations.

On- and Offshore

Energy generated using on- and offshore wind technology is also a crucial factor in numerous research projects. Surplus wind power is the lifeblood for a number of sites between the North Sea and the Baltic where pilot projects and “real-life energy transition laboratories” are field testing the decarbonization of all sectors.

And even beyond the trade fair grounds at HUSUM WIND, one can observe the breadth of innovative products and technologies being developed and tested by an entire array of start-ups in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany’s model region for wind energy.

On- and offshore wind energy is the backbone and driver of the energy transition: It is reliable, economical, and sustainable.
