CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CRRC Zhuzhou Institute), formerly known as Zhuzhou Electrical Locomotive Research Institute affiliated to the Ministry of Railways, was established in 1959, and currently is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CRRC. CRRC Zhuzhou Institute has more than 7,000 R&D personnel, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, more than 240 PhD holders and over 3,500 master’s degree holders.
