Solar fields, wind turbines, power lines - the consumption of landscape by the energy transition is enormous. The numerous construction projects pose great challenges for archaeological heritage conservation. But they also offer new opportunities for archaeological research. The three archaeological authorities of the northern German coastal states show how this is dealt with and what, for example, project developers have to consider.
