Intelligent data for predictive wind monitoring: GP JOULE SERVICE takes over the engineering service provider eta DYNAMICS

In this way the range of services is expanded to include essential areas of turbine monitoring and data analysis for wind farms and operating managers

GP JOULE Service GmbH & Co. KG takes over the expert service provider eta DYNAMICS: The newly founded GP JOULE Service Engineering GmbH provides consulting engineering services as well as the competences of an inspection and monitoring body. The managing directors are Roman Wolff, managing director of eta DYNAMICS, and Stefan Jensen of GP JOULE SERVICE.


Reußenköge, 17 July 2023 | eta DYNAMICS specialises in preventing and diagnosing damage to wind turbines. Based in Germany and with an international customer base, the company has made a name for itself in particular in the field of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) data analysis and condition monitoring, enabling plant managers to support operational risk management through state-of-the-art technology and years of experience.


Markus van Hümmel, managing director GP JOULE SERVICE, explains: “We are very pleased about this gain in know-how, because eta DYNAMICS is one of the industry leaders when it comes to monitoring wind turbines thanks to its highly specialised range of products. Technical upgrades for even better life cycle monitoring

With the acquisition of eta DYNAMICS GmbH, GP JOULE SERVICE is expanding its portfolio of services in the competence fields of inspection bodies, monitoring bodies and consulting engineering services in the wind energy sector.


The services provided by the inspection body include turbine inspections, gearbox endoscopies, damage monitoring and the inspection of the support structure and rotor blades by drone and rope access technology.


The monitoring centre carries out professional machine diagnostics with reliable condition monitoring of the drive technology, rotor and structural dynamics.


In addition, the engineering team will accompany customers with services such as technical project due diligence and SCADA data analyses.


Thanks to these specialised services, all services that are crucial for the life cycle of wind turbines can be provided professionally. The entire range of services is optimised using digitalisation techniques such as machine learning from the field of artificial intelligence – for predictive, proactive monitoring.


The next steps

The customers of eta DYNAMICS have already been informed about the merger. In the coming weeks, the merger will be completed organisationally. Parallel to the wind industry trade fair HUSUM WIND, GP JOULE SERVICE ENGINEERING will present its offers and services in detail.
